Editing and Proofreading
Sometimes you already have copy written and you just need someone to come along and add the finishing touches for you. An editing and proofreading service could be what you need.
What is editing?
Editing looks to clarify the themes and concepts throughout a piece of writing.
It might involve restructuring paragraphs, changing words, altering the length or more.
Copyediting can range from heavy to light depending if there are substantial amounts of copy that need to be changed. In some cases, a few small tweaks and proofreading may be all that is needed.
What is proofreading?
Have you ever found yourself so close to a piece of work that you become blind to spotting errors?
In my corporate marketing career, before I would send something to print or publish it on the web, I would always ensure I had a fresh pair of eyes check it over.
Proofreading is the last step before finishing off a piece of content. It involves checking the document for any spelling errors, typos, and punctuation.
It may also involve formatting the piece to ensure consistency and improved readability.
Why use an editor or proofreader?
No one’s perfect. Having a second pair of eyes check over your work before you hit publish or send to print can be a wise idea.
Spotting our own errors and checking our own work can be really hard.
I’m happy to take a look at your writing and take it to the next level.
